I used to use an iPhone 12 Pro for my home phone. However, this was clunky and extra steps to make a call. A wifi? phone is just much simpler. It looks like a cordless phone without a base station. Once you connect it to the wifi network, you are able to log into the phone, and add your SIP? credentials. In the case of the WP836, you can have 3 accounts, and unlike previous phones, Account 1 was always default no matter what. With the WP836, you can select your default account. There is a lot about this phone, but the main goal is it functions as my home phone, and no need to do anything else.
